Brooklyn Solar Canopy launches three new mounting system designs

By Kelly Pickerel | February 12, 2025

Brooklyn Solar Canopy is launching three new solar panel mounting systems: Post-Truss, Cantilever and Wood-Post.

“This expansion of our product line is a direct response to our customers’ evolving needs,” said T.R. Ludwig, CEO of Brooklyn Solar Canopy and its sister company, Brooklyn SolarWorks. “With the addition of Post-Truss, Cantilever and Wood-Post mounting systems, we can now offer a complete range of solutions for any project, from large-scale commercial installations to residential backyard setups. We’re excited to offer our customers more options and help them achieve their solar goals, regardless of their unique requirements.”

Post-Truss

The Post-Truss system is ideal for residential and small commercial settings. It has smaller foundations, unsupported spans and is rated for high wind and snow loads. It can be used to create solar carports or customer parking canopies and can also be customized with features like integrated EV charging stations, maximizing return on investment and providing multiple benefits.

Cantilever

The Cantilever mounting system, supported on only one end, is ideal for small commercial and large commercial parking lots and walkways, in areas where maintaining an open walking or driving area is required. Its design minimizes the structural footprint compared to full canopies.

Wood-Post

The Wood-Post option provides a natural and aesthetically appealing solution, idea for residential and small commercial spaces where aesthetics is the main concern. Similar in size and appearance to a pergola, the Wood-Post system can be integrated into rooftops or backyards, serving as both an energy source and a functional patio or outdoor living space.

All three systems are engineered for durability and reliability, ensuring long-lasting performance and maximizing energy production.
